GOLDEN CHESS 2008-M Demo and Basic

1.    System Requirements.

 Operating System:             Windows XP, Windows Vista o Windows Server 2003

 RAM:                     minimum 512 MB,  standard 1 GB,   recommended 2GB

 Processor frequency:                        minimum 1GHz,                   recommended   Dual Core 1.6 GHz

 Screen resolution:                               minimum 1024 x 768 pixel

 Color depth:                                  minimum 16 bits,                 recommended 32 bits

 Hard disk space:             minimum 3 GB free,                          recommended 12 GB free

2.    Installation sequence.

a.)   setupGCD1 ---> Golden Chess 2008-M Demo (30 days trial), it requires a serial number; if you don't have it request it for free at: www.chesshop.net

b.)   setupGCD2 ---> Golden Chess 2008-M Data 500K

c.)   (setupGCD3-1 + setupGCD3-2 + setupGCD3-3 + setupGCD-4) ---> Golden Chess 2008-M Posit 500K

3.    Golden Chess 2008-M Demo installation step by step.

3.1 <setupGCD1> Installation.

0.      Double click on <setupGCD1.exe>, (or right click and Open).

1.      At the < the maker cannot be proven…> screen, click on the button “to Execute”.

2.      If the <Setup Factory 7.0 Trial Version…> screen appears, click “Next”.

3.      At the <Welcome> screen, read the instructions and click “Next”.

4.      <License agreement>, read the agreement carefully and select “I Accept the terms…”, then click “Continue”.

5.      At the <User Information> screen, enter your Name, your Company and your Email address, done that click “Next”.

6.      At the <Serial number> screen, enter the provided Serial number, then click “Next”.

7.     <Installation Folder>, leave the suggested route (recommended) and click “Next”.

8.     <Shortcuts folder>, leave the suggested portfolio (recommended) then choose to install for the active user or for all the users and click “Next”.

9.     <Ready to Install>, click “Next”.

10.    <Welcome to Setup Wizard for MySQL Server 5.o> click “next”.

11.    <Setup Type> Select “typical” and click “next”.

12.    <Ready to Install the Program> Click “Install”.

13.    when the <Installing MySQL Server 5.0> screen appears, wait until installation finishes.

14.    <MySQL.com Sign-UP> Select “Skip Sign-Up” and click “next”.

15.    <Wizard Completed> Check the box “it Configures the MySQL Server now” and click “Finish”

16.  <Welcome to the MySQL Server Instance Configuration Wizard> Click “next”.

17.  <Please select a configuration type> Select “Detailed Configuration” and click “next”.

18.  <Please select a server type> Select “Server Machine” and click “next”.

19.  <Please select the database usage> Select “Non-Transactional Database Only” and click “next”.

20.  <Please set the approximate number of concurrent connections to the server> Select “Manual Setting” and then in the input box <Concurrent connections:> select or write “150”; then click “next”.

21.  <Please set the networking options> Check the box “Enable TCP/IP Networking”, select the <Port Number:> with the number “3306”, check the box  “Enable Strict Mode”; and finally click “next”.

22.  <Please select the default character set> Select  “Best Support for Multilingulism” and click “next”.

23.  <Please set the Windows options> Check the box  “Install As Windows Service”,  at the combo box “Service Name:”  select “MySQL”, uncheck the box “Include Bin Directory in Windows PATH” and click “next”

24.  <Please set the Security Settings> Check the box  “Modify Security Settings”, enter as <New root password:>  the number “1959”, (it is very important not to change that number) and enter the same number in <Confirm>. Ucheck the box “Enable root access from remote machines” and uncheck the box “Create An Anonymus Account”, after that, click “next”

25.   When the <Ready to execute...> screen appears, click <Execute>.

--------------------Installing MySQL connector.NET 5.0.8.1-------------------------------------------

26.   Answer the question: Do you already have installed the Connector.NET?, if you don't know it then click “NO”.

27.   If your answer to the previous question was “NO”, a welcome screen appears, click “next” in the three following screens.

28.   Then the <Ready to Install> screen appears, click “Install” and when the installation ends click “Finish”.

--------------------Installing MySQL connector.ODBC 3.51-------------------------------------------

29.   Answer the question: Do you already have installed the Connector.ODBC?, if you don't know it then click  “NO”

30.   If your answer to the previous question was “NO”, a welcome screen appears, click “next” in the two following screens.

31.   The <Ready to Install the Program> screen appears, click “Install” and when the installation ends click “Finish”.

--------------------Installing MySQL GUI Tools 5.0-------------------------------------------------------

32.   Answer the question: Do you already have installed <MySQL Gui Tools 5.0>?, if you don't know it then click “NO”.

33.  If your answer to the previous question was “NO”, a welcome screen appears, click “next”.

34.  If GUI Tools 5.0 is already installed on you system, then the screen <Program Manitenance> appears, in this case you click “Cancel”.

35.  Confirm cancellation. 

36.  If GUI Tools 5.0 is not installed, then the screen <Welcome to the Setup Wizard for MySQL Tools for 5.0> appears, click “next”

37.  At the <Licencse Agreement> screen, check  “I accept the terms in the license agreement”, and click “next”

38.  At the <Destination Folder> screen, click “next” . After that, choose <Setup Type> click “Complete” and  “next”.

39.  <Ready to install the Program> click  “Install”,  then click “next” at the two following screens and “Finish”.

40.   The <Installation Completed> screen appears, click “Finish.”

3.2    <setupGCD2> Installation.

41.  Double click on <setupGCD2.exe> or right click and “Open”.

42.  <The maker cannot be proven…>, make click in the button “Execute”.

43.  <Setup Factory 7.0 Trial Version…>,  click “Next”.

44.  At the <Welcome> screen, read the instructions and when you are prepared, click “Next”.

45.  At the <License agreement> screen, read the agreement carefully and select “I Accept the terms…”, then click “Next”.

46.  <User information>, enter your name, your Company, click “Next”.

47.  <Installation Folder> leave the suggested route (indispensable), click “Next”.

48.  At the screen <Folder for the shortcuts>, leave the suggested folder (recommended), then select to install for the active User or for all the Users, click in “Next”.

49.  <Ready to Install>, click “Next”.

50.  The <Installing…> screen, appears and once files are copied from the database with 500K games, finish the installation clicking “Finish”.

3.3    installation of <setupGCD3-1>, <setupGCD3-2>,<setupGCD3-3> and <setupGCD3-4>:   

                                                                                                                                 Repeat the steps 51 to 57 for each one.

51.  Double click on <setupGCD3-X.exe>, or right click and “Open”.

52.  At the <the maker cannot be proven…> screen, click “to Execute”.

53.  <Setup Factory 7.0 Trial Version…>, click “Next”.

54.  At the <Welcome> screen, read the instructions and when you are ready click “Next”.

55.  <Installation Portfolio>, leave the suggested route (indispensable), make click in “Next”

56.  <Ready to Install>, click en “Next”

57.  The <Installing…> screen appears, and once files are copied from the database with 500K games, finish the installation clicking “Finish”.
